MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Church is to glorify God by helping members fulfill Christ's mission for his church in all the communities God calls them to serve.

Living Water Baptist Church is a voluntary fellowship in Philadelphia, PA. The Church is a fellowship of people whose theology is biblically evangelical; whose character is multiethnic; whose spirit is positive and affirmative; whose purpose is to fulfill the Great Commission through evangelism, discipleship, and church planning;and who celebrate openness and freedom in the context of Christ's Lordship.

OUR PASTORS

Pastor Kayode Akinwande

Pastor Kayode (Kay) Akinwande is a native of Africa, Nigeria and is well received by the ministers in his homeland. Pastor Kay received his theological training and ordination from the Redeem Christian Bible College in Nigeria and pastured a church in Lagos, Nigeria called the Amazing Grace Assembly. He is known as the “Dr. of theology” due to receiving a Certification from the School of Disciples, in Nigeria, which focuses on the biblical and church Doctrine. Prior to Pastor Kay coming to the United States, he was in Brazil planning to open a church; but, God led him to Philadelphia, Pa. Once in Philadelphia, he met and married his partner in ministry Pastor Dorthea Daniels-Akinwande and served as an Associate Minister for the St. Mark Outreach Baptist Church. He is a proud father of two children and God son who he loves dearly. Pastor Kay continues to be a guess lecturer and participate in various committees and organizations pertaining to Nigeria and other African countries.
Pastor Dorthea Daniels-Akinwande

Pastor Dorthea (Dot) Daniels-Akinwande is a native of Philadelphia, Pa and is currently at Palmers Theological Seminary (formerly Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary) working toward her second Master’s Degree in Divinity. Pastor Dot is a Graduate of Temple University School of Social Administration. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Master’s Degree in Social Work and Gerontology Certification from Temple University School of Medicine. Pastor Dot served as the Director of Human Services for the Mount Zion Baptist Church under Rev. Dr. Willie E. Robinson. She also participated in the American Baptist Church Planning were she became one of the Associate Minister for St. Mark Outreach Baptist Church. Pastor Dot is licensed and ordained. She is also a proud and devoted wife and mother. Pastor Dot is involved in numerous service organizations in the Christian and secular community and is known as a visionary for the Kingdom of God.
